Getting started

Install Regimen, apply the Clinic preset, and connect the products, metafields, apps, and menus the theme expects.

1. Install the theme

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
  2. Under Add theme, upload the Regimen.zip file you received.
  3. Click Customize to open the theme editor. To make it live, use Actions → Publish.
Tip: Always work on an unpublished copy first (Actions → Duplicate), then publish once you're happy.

2. Apply the Clinic preset

Regimen ships with the Clinic preset — a coordinated set of colors, typography, and defaults. In the theme editor, open Theme settings and confirm the Clinic style is applied, then adjust to your brand (see Theme settings).

3. Set up products & metafields

Several of Regimen's features read from product metafields. Create these definitions once under Settings → Custom data → Products, then fill them in per product. Every one of them is optional — features gracefully hide or fall back when a metafield is empty.

Don't want to use metafields? The COA viewer and Supplement facts blocks also accept content typed directly into their block settings in the editor. Metafields are only needed when you want per-product data managed outside the theme.

4. Connect apps (optional)

FeatureRequires
Subscribe & SaveA subscriptions app that creates selling plans (e.g. Shopify Subscriptions). Attach a selling plan to a product and the option appears automatically.
Product reviews / star ratingsThe Shopify Product Reviews app (provides the spr.reviews metafield).

5. Build your menus

Under Content → Menus, make sure you have a main-menu (used by the header) and a footer menu. The header and footer reference these by default. You can point the header/footer link-list settings at any menu you like in the editor.

6. Test before you publish

Ready to go live? Publish from Online Store → Themes → Actions → Publish.
